Things I learned while reading this:

1) this story seems to be more and more realistic than what we'd like to believe.

2) it is not "boring" as I once thought it was.

3) I love the art work. It adds to the story and depicts this novel very well.

4) I LOATHE this ending. I'm glad I have "The Testaments" on my Kobo so that I may read it and maybe have a better appreciation for the ending of this novel.

This graphic novel managed to capture the same feeling I had while reading the book: rage, sadness, heartbreak, all in economical text and gorgeous art.

This graphic novelisation compliments the original novel and admirably summarises its story. I cannot help but wonder how well it works for those who haven't read the novel. I enjoyed the art, but Atwood's prose is so beautifully brilliant it's almost an impossible task to try to reach that level of storytelling with an "abridged" graphic novel adaptation. Would recommend it (read the novel first!) and will keep this one in my collection.
