This is my third Moriarty book and Definitely the best of the three. I do still think this was wordier then needed and I could have done without the grandma's pov. I really enjoyed the setup and the questions and thoughts the book provokes. I was happy with the ending and it's one of the few times jump epilogues I enjoyed. I liked the variety of characters and felt like we got enough information and backstory for each without being hard to keep track of. I really liked Alice and her character development and found her relateable.

The book was written well and an easy read, though it had confusing letters written by characters that seemed very out of place. The story does bring up a good question: what would life be like if we forgot the last ten years of life? How would going back in time (not knowing the outcome of those lost 10 years) have on us? On our relationships? Would we feel differently about people if we ‘forgot’ the instances that drove us apart? Would forgetting cause us to make different choices?

Oh thank God Alice and Nick ended back together in the end. I would have been disappointed, especially when their relationship was not too damaged and there were multiple points for recovery and reconciliation.
I'm glad I decided to give this a second chance. The book wasn't so bad at all. You just needed lowered expectations. And Elizabeth was a very reasonable character, I get where she's coming from.
Am I the only one who thought Gina was lowkey a bad influence on Alice though?? Lol yikes.
Glad to see Nick and Alice really got their shit together. Bless.
Would I reccommend this book? If you need a light read and can handle drama, yes! Do I feel a book hangover because of this? Not really.
But the best thing this book has from me? Reference. The fanfic I'm writing next will be about an ex-couple getting back together. Nick and Alice's dynamic already taught me lessons and notes for how I will execute the couple on my fanfic someday.

(Read this for a bookclub) Not normally the type of book I would pick. Did I like it….Kind of? I do wish it had less filler by the journal entries being taken out. I feel the book had a slow start & was quite repetitive, by the end it started to build a bit, but ultimately was just okay.
