I can't remember if Will and I finished this one (I think we did) but suffice it to say that after this one he lost interest in Magic Tree House books at bedtime and now we practice BOB books and read Steam Train, Dream Train almost every night again.

He did like the part where Jack and Annie were dogs, though.

Haven't read these for a while but I couldn't resist a story about the Alps and Saint Bernards.

I liked Dogs in the Dead of Night. They got stuck in an avalanche and then some dogs that were from the monks dogs came and rescued them. They saved the person from an avalanche too since they turned themselves into dogs too.

We are now in the early chapter book stage. The book was fun to read and my daughter really enjoyed it. It was a little less enjoyable because this is the first Magic Tree House book we are reading and it's in the middle of a large story arc.

Fun characterization of the dogs and the little historical cameos are a bit fun.

This was a cute story. I never wanted it to end.
