Oh dear. I just couldn't get into this one...
I don't think I liked any of the character's enough to care about them. Perhaps it's the genre that also had me struggling as the writing style read very much like a script for film noir.
I almost gave it away after the first seventy pages, and perhaps this is an indication that I should do so next time I'm in this much doubt about a story or it's writing style. Perhaps it reads well to others... just not for me.
