Dragons, dragons, dragons. This book is all about dragons!

When Cassie loses her best friend in an accident all she could think about is how to bring her back. When she learns there is a way, she abandons her post at the opera and dares to navigate through dangerous and uncharted territory to find a dragon and bring her friend back to life. But the wilderness is full of dangers and surprises. Will she be able to survive in order to reach her goal?

What an interesting book! I love dragons and this one has dragons on every page. I struggled at the beginning to connect but once I got the hang of it, I really enjoyed it. I can't wait to see what happens next.

If you look for dystopian and adventurous read, this is the book for you. I definitely recommend it!

Cassie is no ordinary girl. She’s a dragon singer, capable of making connections with even the most rampant of beasts. She’s good at it but when she decides to run away to gain the oath of a sage dragon, she begins to wonder if she’s good enough. Desperate to gain the oath, and bring back her lost friend, Cassie finds herself hurled into a world of danger and romance.

I absolutely adored this book! Wing Walker was different from a lot of fantasy books that I’ve read. Cassie went through a great transformation through the story. She seemed like a rich girl, wearing a gala dress out into the wilderness, but as the story progressed, so she did. She was gentle yet fierce when it came to every challenge she faced, and I was sad when the book came to an end.

I am happy, however, to see that this book is part of a series because I’m excited to see where Cassie’s journey will take her next.

Well, first of all, the synopsis (the true synopsis, not my summarisation) is fantastic and it’s a major major reason that I took the book; it is also massively long. Even for a fantasy novel. So, picture this, right? The synopsis is all fantastically good, makes me super excited to read the book and I can’t wait because it’s going to be epic… aaand it… just fell apart.

And by ‘just fell apart’, I mean the synopsis built up this expectation and I was already thinking of like it’s gonna be like Game of Thrones with the dragons or some type of siren-like power with the singing, but it didn’t have any of that.

And the whole thing with the actual wing walkers (who only showed up a bit) – this confused me a lot because I thought they would be there a lot and that their role would be important; and while it was, I didn’t think it was properly used. And that was a shame because they could’ve been fantastic. But alas.

Do I recommend this: Listen, if the book lived up to its synopsis, I would be all over it. But if you like dragons and magic involving dragons, maybe pick this up!
