I could not get into this book. I was really looking forward to it but then upon reading the introduction and preface I realized this wasn’t even the same book being offered by Netgalley. The covers and title were different and it was also the third instalment of books the author has wrote on Bundy.
The information contained in the book is vast and the amount of work put into a book such as this is immense. Any one can appreciate that much work. It’s just unfortunate it wasn’t organized in a way I could follow and I couldn’t focus on the material I had to try and go back and reread parts. I just couldn’t do it. I would like to go back and read the first and second instalment so maybe one day once I’ve done that I can come back and rewrite my review as it may be easier to follow.

I have been fascinated with the Ted Bundy case for a while, but have never read the other installments of Mr. Sullivan's work on Bundy. I found this book to be very interesting and full of information! I think it's a great book for those interested in true crime!

I always try to find something good about a book, but I dont think its going to happen this time. I have many issues with this book.
1. It is just a group of police reports and interviews collected together. Very little writing was done by the author. Very little effort was made to even make the police reports readable for the average person. Back in the day when I was a reporter, we weren't allowed to put our name on a police report and call it our story. I feel the same should apply to books.
2. In the little bit of original writing that was done, the writer directly addresses the reader. I hate that.
3. I don't expect nonfiction books to be a part of series. Apparently you have to read his other books on Ted Bundy if you want to know some of the facts in the story. There is more than one place where he says, read my other book to find out what they said. He didn't have to do a complete recap, but come on, that's just laziness.

I thought I knew all there was to know about Ted Bundy but I was wrong. This book gives new information that I've never heard before. This is a great read for anyone interested in Ted and his victims.

If you’re a fan of true crime this book is a must read. A different perspective on the life of Ted Bundy. Truly interesting and captivated me from start to end.

This book is an amazing collection of first-hand accounts and picking records concerning Ted Bundy's infamous murders. Those who are very familiar with the case will find this book especially fascinating. Reading accounts made in real-time with the murders gives an interesting view of the mindset of the day. For those that are not as familiar with the case, you may want to start with the two books by the same author that came before this one as it really does close out the trilogy of information.

😕 When reading this book, do not expect it to “read” with a plot or follow a linear path through the murders of Ted Bundy. This was actually the part that was a little off putting for me. The organization of the text was just not there, and it seemed rather disjointed.
📖 📝 However, you can tell that this author REALLY did his research into the Bundy cases. This book includes interviews, police reports, logs, statements, transcripts, and everything in between pertaining to one of the most infamous serial killers ever. There were many things included in the book that I was reading about for the first time, and I have read and watched quite a bit about Ted Bundy’s life and crimes.
👉🏻If you are someone who is super interested in the minute technical aspects of crimes, specifically Ted Bundy’s crimes, this may be of interest to you. If you like reading something that is categorically organized or follows some type of linear progression, then this may not be your cup of tea. ❌ ☕️

It was interesting to know more details about the whole Ted Bundy case especially from the police reports and interviews from people. They honestly couldn't believe that Ted Bundy was the one responsible for all these crimes. It made me wonder though how he managed to have a relationship with Liz without murdering her instead. I mean he's been killing women almost every month. Moreover, she had a daughter and they were living together at times and they were close to the age as the women he's been killing. Too many things left unanswered especially the death count.
This is the third book to this series and I wished I'd known that beforehand. Now I'm curious as to what I've missed in the first 2 books.
Now off to reading something lighter! Or a fiction novel. This reality is too dark.

Title: Ted Bundy’s Murderous Mysteries: The Many Victims of America’s Most Infamous Serial Killer

Review: I have been getting into a lot of true crime and non-fiction books about serial killers lately like Mindhunter so I was quite excited to find a book dedicated to Ted Bundy as I find he is a serial killer that confuses so many people. Each chapter of this book is dedicated to one of Bundy’s victims and the first is Lynda Ann Healy, on January 31st, 1974, Ted Bundy made the decision to enter a home at 5517 12th Street NE in Seattle for the purposes of abduction and murder. He was targeting a young woman who had seen earlier that night in a bar, and after finding her door unlocked he left planning to return later on that night. This first chapter is primarily made up of the witness statements from Joanne Testa, Monica Sutherland, Ginger Heath, and Karen Skaviem, all students at the University of Washington and all friends with Lynda. This chapter ends with a hypothetical situation on how Bundy’s abducted and killed Lynda, but so far I was impressed with the information being put in the book as it was just taken from actual documents or other works and there isn’t anything new being added at this point. I think I will give it a few more chapters before making my mind up on whether or not I am going to finish this book.
Chapter 2 focuses on Georgann Hawkins, most of the information about the timeline before she encountered Bundy comes from Duane Covey but at the time didn’t want to be put on record so this information came to the attention of the author much later. On the evening of June 11th, 1974, Georgann was a student at the University of Washington which seemed to be a common trend when Bundy targeted women. I had got halfway through chapter 2 and gave up, this book is literally a compilation of reports and statements from people at the time and generic comments from the author that add nothing of value to the mystery that is Ted Bundy. Other books I have read on the subject look at his home life, his brain functions, his interview tapes that he gave in prison and add either speculative or educational commentary on his motives for committing these crimes, however, this is simply a copy and paste job of every other book on the subject and I am not going to waste my time on time.
