I simply don't get the good reviews, but to each their own I guess. I'd say more but frankly the "story" was so incalculably mediocre that it got washed out amidst all the other of similar story type. I neither cared what happened to the characters and couldn't find anything enticing about the world. May have been my mood in reading it though, so this is all written with a grain of salt.

I will say this about Blood Purple, it's got an interesting concept. I liked the beginning, it had a strong opening. It kept me wanting to continue the story, even during the many parts of incoherence and repetition.
