This is a lovely book! I absolutely love how the author's story was inspired by historical legends from around the world.

All of the Magic Tree House books are great for young readers, but I personally enjoy the special Camelot books, such as this one. I think this would be a great book to read as a family in the days leading up to Halloween. It definitely adds to the fun of holiday. The print version of this book includes some fun activities in the back for the family as well.

This was perfect as a light, quick read. I loved the illustrations and thought it was a great little children's story. I loved how the author used inspiration from myth and Lore and mixed them to create this story. I enjoyed the plot and the characters.

I really really enjoyed this one! It was a Merlin mission so it was a little longer and I loved it. It really liked that it was an actual problem and solved it like normal kids instead of some of the stupid things they come up with.

My 7 year old says, “just spooky enough to get into the Halloween spirit, but not too scary so you don’t get bad dreams. I love the Merlin mysteries because I love Camelot and want to find Excalibur when I grow up.”

6/25/18 age 7 - There's a gigantic crow, and his story is that he wanted to be a bird. So he tried to change himself into it, but he only got half of what he wanted. So he became half crow and half man, and he became a king of a bunch of crows.
