Very long book and took ages to get through but always enjoy the authors stories and twists and turns. The ending was very joyful.

This was my least favorite Maas book to date. I loved the ideas behind Crescent City, a more modern fantasy take, however I just couldn’t get into most of the characters. I enjoyed the first few chapters, when Ruhn, Hunt and Baxian were in the dungeons, and I really enjoyed Lydia’s character arch. Other than that, I felt bored. The ending was just not satisfying for me. It still had its classic Maas highs, but just not enough for me.
