DNF
Didn't like any of the characters enough to care what happened to them.

Enjoyed this one. Interesting main characters and a good storyline, well written and a good lead to the series. Looking forward to the next book.

On a New York City rooftop, a sniper waits for the right moment, the moment to fire one shot at his target. Two people come together to try and solve the crime, one a crime reporter, Jane Cole, and the other a suspended NYPD cop Robert Warren. Suspended because of a story Cole wrote.
The first novella of a nine series story.
A well-written and interesting story, with the characters thankfully growing on you.

Book 1 of 9 in The Crime Beat series is incredibly gripping. It is a novella that explores events in NYC and it grabbed me on the first page and did not let go until I read the last page. I immediately went to Amazon to get the second book on Kindle Unlimited. I am going to push it past several other books on my TBR list because I have to know what happens next. I highly recommend it and hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
