This book made me cry. In a good way.
A book about fatherhood, love, and books. It made me wish I had read some of the books in the beginning of the chapters.
Great book.

I can't believe how invested I became in Island Books, but I guess I shouldn't be. As the author says, "People are attached to their bookstores." I'm a little bit sad that Island Books isn't real, because I love it. I became so attached to that bookstore and to the people who love it. I love that books were so much a part of each character's life. As Lambiase said, "I like talking about books with people who like talking about books." That's why I so enjoyed this book. It was full of people who like talking about books who formed a beautiful reading community.

3.5 stars. This book is good, and a super easy read. It was just what I needed after reading a book with a fairly complex plot.
But...this book is a standard story of “screwed up guy turns his life around”, and is almost too predictable. It does have a lot of heart though, so if you like/need an easy read you will enjoy this book.
