Once again, Blood Rites Horror has put together a collection of short stories that underline what talent is out there in the dark, shadowy parts of the indie writing community. This time the focus is on vampires - and my highlights in this collection were the stories from Jack Harding, Christopher Badcock and Spencer Hamilton, who all managed to offer a pretty fresh take on a well-known tale. My only issue with this one is that I realised I’m not quite into vampires enough to want an entire collection of them - at least not that I tried to get through in one go. I’d definitely recommend this one to any horror fan out there, I just think next time I’ll spread the stories out a bit more and give each one room to breathe.
