Why did I stay up until one in the morning to finish this book? Why do I now love Count Dooku as a villain? Am I setting myself up for disappointment because there's not a lot of other Count Dooku content? Should I be sleeping right now? These are the questions that will haunt me.

I have to give this a high rating because experiencing this story in this audio format was unlike anything I have consumed before.  I went into this already interested in Dooku's backstory and this definitely delivered in all the ways I was hoping. But the audio experience of this story made this so much more immersive and really was so unique and enjoyable. I was drawn in by the new characters, the pre-prequel politics and character dynamics were fascinating, and the John Williams snippits in the background made me internally scream every time. What a magnificent experience. I'm so smitten with this.

A great and intriguing storyline that wraps around full circle: Beginning at Dooku’s childhood, and ending with this apprentice Ventress. Seeing Dooku through the eyes of Ventress allows for plenty of perspective, and we glimpse a deeper understanding of Dooku’s motives and time as a Sith.

I am SHOCKED that this is getting 5 stars, but wow, I loved it so much. I had no idea that I needed a Dooku origin story in my life, yet here we are. I felt fully engrossed in the plot. The characters, both ones that we've been familiar with since the prequels as well as the new faces, were performed excellently by the full cast. The rest of the production was great as well. I had no issues following along with the dialogue and narration. And of course, Star Wars music and sounds are always going to spice things up. I'd love to see more full audio dramas like this be made in the Star Wars universe. This format is so much more engaging than most of the novels.

This audiobook made my walks to and from work much more entertaining !! The story is intriguing, I loved seeing a deep dive into all the important moments for Dooku from when he was an initiate to when he eventually leaves the order. I also think the voice acting was really well done, however I occasionally found myself confused as to who was speaking as some characters sounded very similar. I also think it would’ve been a perfect way to end if we lead right up to when he meets Palpatine as Sidious and becomes his apprentice, as that was something I was hoping to see, however what we got was awesome!
