I received a copy of On the Tip of a Wave: How Ai Weiwei's Art is Changing the Tide by Joanna Ho and illustrated by Cátia Chien from Scholastic Canada in exchange for an honest review.

This picture book looks at the life and work of Ai Weiwei and the impactful influence it has had on the world. In a lyrical prose with vivid illustrations, readers are able to explore the ways in which Ai Weiwei challenges others to look at the world. He draws attention to the refugee crisis around the world and doesn't hesitate to criticize governments. The story inspires readers to take action and be part of the activism that will lift humanity up.
