My Thoughts On: Angel #2

1. *sarcastically* Gee, I love starting an issue of Angel being reminded what a bastard Angelus was and how he would turn people and make them feed from the people they previously tried to protect and use them as an army. Super great!

2. And cue Angel's sad monologue/voiceover... He's not wrong about Sunnydale, though. Sunnydale will pretend there's nothing supernatural about its town until it's a crater in the ground. Yes, I did go there.

3. I know I shouldn't, but I sort of ship Angel with Lilith. I like Lilith so much. I think I'm obsessed with her.

4. And cue a literal demon monologuing about the dangers of social media, how it stirs vanity and envy that this new evil can feed on. This monologue aged me ten thousand years. It's so predictable and lazy. Bryan Hill, can we do better please?

5. Angel's reaction to Lilith's monologue may be the best thing he's ever said. "You want me to kill social media?"

6. Lilith's reaction to Angel trying to boss her around is honestly such a mood. I'm here for feminist icon Lilith, everyone.

7. Are these girls all at Sunnydale High with Buffy? What grade are they in? Would Buffy and the Scoobies known the girl who set her house on fire? Will it tie in at all in the Buffy series? So many questions...

8. This evil being looks like Thanos and is preying on teenage girls so I already hate him. Angel, kick his a**!

9. Winifred! Guys, it's Winifred! And Lilith's helping her? (Possibly to unite her with Angel?) I'm curious to say what role Lilith plays further down the line.

10. Of course Angel is standing in the dark with something lurking behind him. That seems right.
