this book was really boring. there was seemingly no plot & i didn’t think that any character was interesting. i kept reading in order to see if it would get interesting, and kept on getting frustrated at how amelia learnt nothing. despite everything she’s been through, she chooses to depict herself as the victim, and is so selfish that it drove me to become annoyed and frustrated. just like ms m said, there was so much potential but nothing was achieved.

I read an early copy of this book and I enjoyed it but I didn't love it. I really liked the plot and certain aspects of this book really interested me. I just found it to be a little bit disjointed in the way it was written at times leading to me being confused. Ultimately for such a short book, I felt like it dragged on in some places leading to me being bored. However, I think this book looks at some important issues that I personally do not see much in YA literature and for that I found it really interesting.

I feel like I should mention despite kin of being spoilers this book deals with Alzhimer's (as the title kind of implies) and Anorexia (which some may find triggering)

A strong tight exploration of a family shattered by early onset Alzheimer's. Despite the serious themes (including eating disorders), the tone doesn't get too dark or depressing.

Hoping to write a longer review at my blog.
