Never been a big Superman fan, but quite enjoyed this. Some stories worked more for me than others and I can't say Bendis's debut made me want to read his take on Superman, but the stuff that works REALLY works.

i really enjoyed it, it's almost a 5 star. 4.5 star! The stories are sweet and optimistic for the most part and the art is great. Worth the buy.

That was quite surprising. I wasn't expecting that reveal for who is responsible for Jon going missing, but it keeps the story interesting. By the time be of this issue it seems Clark is on his own in figuring out where to find Jon. There is a lot of visual references to various continuities of the DC universe. The villain is very much child like in his approach for vengeance, which makes him unpredictable and dangerous. Jon is an intelligent kid, so I'm sure he'll be able to bide his time as Clark fights to find him. I don't know how the villain can be defeated in this case though with the amount of power he's been given here.
