I mostly liked this book and, aside from some very over-descriptive passages and the very forgettable (and cliché) dream sequences, it was very well-written.

And although the complete solution surprised me, I'd guessed half of it almost from the beginning. 

I knew that Henry was involved, I suspected from early on that he could walk (the dust-covered canes, if that's not foreshadowing, I don't know what it would be *laughs*), his tiredness... and when the wedding dress come into play, I was sure. But I was surprised when Mason was revealed as the actual killer and for his relationship with Henry.

And I wasn't fooled by the end of the last chapter, I knew Jenny would be alive. I was not too fond of it; it felt like a very forced happy ending, but then, a lot of people prefer a happy ending to a realistic one *shrugs*

Nevertheless, it was, overall, a good story and I'll read the second book ASAP.

Увага! Під час читання краще не їсти, якщо ви вразливі.

Мені сподобалося читати цей детектив зі сторони антрополога. Дуже цікаво читати про те як розкладається тіло та визначення часу смерті, коли від тіла майже нічого не залишилося. Всі описані процеси дозволяють тобі зануритися в атмосферу. Тобі стає некомфортно, волосся стає дибки на деяких описах.
Взагалі ця атмосфера страху та ненависті в маленькому містечку чудово описана, я прям відчувала себе частиною цієї громади. Я в захваті як автор зміг занурити читачів в історію.

Останні розділи тримали в такій напрузі, як і вся книга була динамічна, не було часу занудьгувати.
Спочатку я підозрювала не того, вже під кінець почала здогадуватися хто ж наш вбивця—психопат. Хоча зараз аналізуючи, я розумію, що були натяки.

Мені дуже сподобалась книга, обов'язково буду читати наступні історії в серії
