A picture book about a lion who bullies all the other animals. The animals can't take it anymore so create an advertisement offering an award to anyone that can stop the lion from being mean. And a rabbit shows up to help...

Great modern trickster book that deals with a typical mean, old bully.

Lion vs Rabbit was a witty take on a very serious matter - bullying. I liked the playfulness of this story, and I thought it would make a great segue for a parent-child discussion on the topic. Written in a comic book style layout, it seemed appropriately geared toward the young reader.

An ARC of this book was given to me by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review. The words I have expressed are my own.

Hilarious. Everyone has their own strengths. A modern day Aesop story!

The illustrations are adorable, but I really just didn't like the rest all that much.

While I'm glad Rabbit was able to stop Lion from bullying, I wish he hadn't done it in a dishonest way - he's supposed to be the "good" character! Am I over-thinking it?

On your second read through, watch the illustrations for rabbit ears and tails.... A fun story!

Lion is a big bully, but all the other animals are too afraid of him to stop him so they put out an ad offering a reward for anyone who can stop Lion. Bear, Moose, and Tiger all come but are unsuccessful. Eventually Rabbit shows up and uses his brains (and a few tricks) to beat Lion. While I'm not necessarily a fan of tricking bullies, the story is humorous and the illustrations are fun. I think my story time kids will enjoy this one, a fun group read aloud.
