very quick read though it was a slower-paced book. the twist wasn't very shocking but i was going back and forth between two options as to what was going on so i felt compelled enough to move forward, though the slow pacing wasn't my jam. logan felt very relatable and i felt sad for him and was rooting for him throughout. there's definitely a theme of what happens to someone when they come from an abusive household or experience trauma and how everyone handles and copes with things in their own way, for better or worse. ultimately, you are the captain of your ship, you get to decide how you act and react and where your life goes. you can be a better person in spite of your trauma and the things you've gone through and the anger and shame you feel, or you can succumb to it. this story shows you a little how those choices can play out.
