I struggled with this one for sure. I liked that the author included an ex-convict along with the struggles and judgments that went along with it. Past that the only POV I actually enjoyed was that of Katherine. The other POVs were a bit repetitive, and the thought processes of a couple of the characters fell really short for me. One component of the big twist felt way too convenient. The author added a component of "fate," but it just didn't feel believable. I did enjoy the action at the end, but it really wasn't worth slogging through 200 pages to get there. I think the premise was sound, but with the way it was written, I just couldn't get into it.

Good, quick read. Though I couldn't figure out who it was, I DID know it
wasn't the husband.

this isn’t usually the kind of thriller i go for, and i found the first 3/4 of the books fairly boring. it did pick up in the last bit.
i did guess the twist before it was revealed, which i didn’t mind. it didn’t make my jaw drop or anything but it was a twist nonetheless.
