Dav Pilkey writes marvelous, underrated children's books.

Listen. at the beginning the mice are having a bbq of tiny ribs and drumsticks. WHAT COULD THEY POSSIBLY BE EATING THAT IS SMALLER THAN THEM THAT HAS RIBS. Do they raise tiny chickens and livestock? I have so many questions.

A monstrous mutt terrorizes the residents of Mousopolis. Pilkey is very funny as usual in this tale of how the rodent scientists save the town from DogZilla. I like Kat Kong even better though.

Fun, quick read with lots of humor for kids and adults, as Pilkey has some playful turns of phrase that rely on old sayings that kids won't know but adults will.

Biased review. This is my absolute favorite children's book because one of our dogs, Radner, is one of the puppies pictured at the end. EVERY child should have this book!

My daughter's pick from the school library (insert eye roll). All things considered though, it was pretty cute and enjoyable.
