A great story about the magic of an ice cold paleta. I loved the vibrant pictures and the way that the author connected the paleta to a feeling of connectedness amongst neighbors.

I like introducing my son to Hispanic culture & language with this author's fun style. He really seems to enjoy looking at these illustrations, too. My only wish is that the book had a pronunciation guide for the Spanish words... some of us are kinda rusty on our Spanish!

Maybe for summer reading? For bilingual storytime.

Very fun book about flavorful & colorful paletas. The illustrations are a burst of color and between those and the text, my mouth was watering for a yummy paleta by the end of the book.

A colorful treat that celebrates one of the greatest summer delights - the paleta, or popsicle!

One of my first storytime themed around multilingual markets/eating food and describing colors in neighborhoods! <3 super sweet and funny.

Rich illustrations and a fun exploration of all the things one can do with a paleta. Reading this made me want to savor a popsicle, even though it's 38 degress out.

What Can You Do With a Rebozo? Is a great teaching tool for one of the cultural aspects of the Mexican culture. This book goes through all the different uses of the rebozo and has stunning illustrations. It’s a Pura Belpré award winner. I think this book is good for teaching about different aspects of different cultures and what a rebozo is.
