Not sure why I thought I could read this as a stand alone. The entire book was told from 2 points of view. Then the last hour of the book BAM, 4 or more points of view, I lost count. I didn't know the characters well enough to listen to all of that.

A fun, steamy, friends-to-lovers romance. While both Ransom and Teagan are competitive in nature and love ribbing one another with lots of innuendos, they've never crossed the line that lays the foundation of their friendship. That is until one night where a bet is placed and a very steamy kiss is involved. Can they keep the lid on the desire they've always harbored for one another or can they sample the goods for just one night and go back to being friends the next day?

While their friends are all rooting for them and have zero issues with them dating, it's Teagan and Ransom's own hangups with their pasts and boundaries that cause them to hold back. Thanks For Last Night is a sweet, steamy, not filled with a ton of angst romance that slots in nicely to round out this series. I always love the comfort of reading Blakely books for those very aspects.

While most books of Blakely's can be read as standalones I feel this book will read better if you've read her previous books in the series. Why? Ransom and Teagan are the last standing single people among their group of friends. It probably wouldn't be a problem if they were dating other people, or if they weren't so well matched together, but their group of friends who have all paired off and all previously fallen in love within the same circle. Their group of friends all consist of  each prior book in this series and recent interconnecting series. While this can be read as a standalone, it will give you the warm fuzzies as all the couples keep popping in, especially near the end. All the updates are amazing and my smile only kept getting bigger as I was reading.

How can you not love Lauren Blakely's fun and flirty books? Every time, I know I am in for a fun time, and this one is an especially good time. Ransom and Teagan are an amazing couple. Thrown together on numerous occasions by their happily in relationship friends, it's impossible for them not to be good friends. But is there more? When Teagan wins Ransom at an auction for a date, we will find out just how much more there is. But is it more than one night? Fun, flirty, steamy, exciting, good friends, fun times, a little angst and a whole lot of feel good times, Lauren has given us a fantastic book. I love this couple for so many reasons. I love all their friends, especially getting to see Fitz and Dean, I love catching up on Brynn and Logan. And I just love the camaraderie this ensemble cast has.And hockey, we can't forget that! It's a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, bringing a smile to your face and love to your heart.

As always, Lauren Blakely picks the narrators that are meant to be these characters. Zachary Webber as Ransom is fabulous. He is in tune with who Ransom is and and lets it flow in his voice. Andi Arndt is Teagan. She has a warmth to her voice and the perfect personality for her. Add in Brian Pallino's sexy Spanish accent, with Stella Hunter and Joe Arden cameos and it made my day!

Wow, just love Lauren Blakely. Thanks For Last Night is her latest book featuring Ransom and Teagan. You do get a healthy dose of previous characters to help bring this series to close. Super fun heroes and heroines who are all sexy, sassy, handsomely HOT, gorgeous, and know how to love the women or men they fall head over heels with. Both Ransom and Teagan need a little extra care/help to see that they just might be perfect for each other! Lauren does write super hot between the sheets scenes,(fan needed). Without giving away anything just know this is a super fun and sexy read with multiple POV's and that is what makes it so fun. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. *****

Teagan and Ransom were full of light laughter and witty banter but all it takes is a few moments for them to realize that some people are worth putting it all on the line and taking a chance on the person who sets your world on fire and once you do you find that that person makes all your fears melt away one by one as they prove over and over that being with them is as easy as breathing.

On top of each couple in this series falling in love there was also the relationship between the group of friends that seemed to grow even stronger as each new person was added to this close-knit group. It was so much more than friendship, they formed a family made of people that have the utmost love and respect for one another.

Thanks For Last Night was my favorite in The Guys Who Got Away series. The perfect medley of witty banter, steam, feels and meddlesome friends that are determined to show their last remaining single friends that taking a chance on love is always worth the risk.

Lauren Blakely has once again delivered a fun, charming and swoony friends to lovers romance that will give you all the hearts in your eyes. I adored this couple. Ransom and Teagan are just so compatible. I absolutely loved their flirty competitive back and forth banter and their undeniable chemistry. If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times - Lauren Blakely is the queen of the flirty banter. I. Cannot. Get. Enough!

The friendship between Ransom and Teagan was just so natural. They truly understood each other. Both burned by previous relationships, they were perfectly happy being single. While all their friends were coupled up, they were determined not to go down that road again; even as they were constantly pushed together. However, their connection and their attraction was just too strong. Ransom met his match with Teagan.

While I did enjoy this book, I did think Thanks for Last Night read a little too fast for me. The entire transition from friends to lovers and the courting took place in a matter of a couple weeks. I don’t feel this story was as developed as other Lauren Blakely books. The last few chapters were not even about Teagan and Ransom. Of course I love revisiting some old characters and seeing my favorites get their happily ever after. I just wish this book was more Ransom Teagan focused.

All I all, Thanks for Last Night is a flirty, sexy good time. Get ready to fall in love with the charismatic swoon-worthy hockey player and the strong, witty woman with the big heart.
