THIS IS AN HONEST REVIEW, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

3 stars - Epic Fantasy

After all the daunting page numbers, weeks to finish it perhaps close to a month, slumping in between because some parts are boring, and the author murdered some of characters that I was becoming fond of - the end didn't meet my expectation and to be honest, I'm crushed and furious. If it weren't for its captivating action, suspense and mystery, I would've flung the damn book ages ago into the piles of did-not-finish and forgot about its existence entirely.

dying laughing...alert for my LDS friends: beware the profanities..lots of fbombs but seriously! I was laughing so hard at some points that I think I peed myself. so many plot twists and I should have just finished it back when I 1st started it the 1st time in 2016 I regret not enjoying it sooner.

Sadly not nearly as good as the first one. The plot, which was such a strength in the first book, was pretty messy. We spend the first third of the book focused on one mission then the other two thirds focused on another and I found myself wondering when are we going to get back to mission #1, and why did we spend so much time there? It made the whole thing much less satisfying and entertaining. However, I do love pirate content so I was 't too mad. The characters were great and even better fleshed out in this one.

A great sequel to a book I thought didn't need one. So many vivid characters, tons of wit and lots of twists and turns both happy and sad.

I am in love with Locke & Jean. I love this series. It’s witty, clever, well thought out. I can’t wait to start the next book!
