All I’m gonna say is: this story lets everyone know why choosing “the bear” is the only correct answer.

  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? No

  • Diverse cast of characters? No
  • Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

It was pretty good. I think I've read it before, maybe for a high school assignment. This stuff probably does actually happen; it wouldn't surprise me at all.

Audio: 5 stars, Gary Furlong did this as part of his Patreon.

Book: 3.5 stars

For a short story written in 1924, I was surprised on how much went on in just 26 pages!

Will I go into a long review because this is a classic? Hell no, I am not in high school and that isn't required of me anymore haha. So, with that said, if you wanted to read something that gives you a deadly game of cat and mouse and you want something quick to read, I would say pick this up.

The Most Dangerous Game is about General Zaroff living on his private Island and installed a false passage to lure Ships to his Island, then he pretends to help the survivors and starts to Hunt them over the island which is full of traps and designed to be a Hunting Ground for Humans.
Rainsford lands on the Island and tries to get away.
The end is abrupt.
Sometimes it's not written clear, whole scenarios are described by a few words like the end which just skips the fight and ends that he never slept in a more comfortable bed.
Similar was when he felt over the ship.
