What a beautiful, perfect book, I read this in the span of 5 days because I wanted to enjoy it and savor it.
From Will's complex personality and over-guarded heart to Margot's overbearing and loving and speech-cutting personality, everything was beyond perfect.
I especially enjoyed how flawed and how ok they were with that, we could definitely find the human aspect in this book and it's something that's most of the time missing in other books.
I also enjoyed this book with someone special to me and we deeply divided into how Will's personality is also very much every man's personality out there, and sharing this reading experience with that person that is very special to me made this book one of my favourites in 2022 <3
Anyhow, I loved the book and would give it more than 5 stars for sure

I really enjoyed this book. There were a lot complex emotional issues experienced by the main characters that pushed it beyond a standard rom-com. This story felt like it went on pretty long, and I wonder if something could have been cut out. Although, I also could have done with more of the two main characters being romantic together. That part seemed too brief. I also felt like it took at least the first quarter of the book before I started to really like both main characters. I appreciate when main characters are more complex, but their characterization bordered on just unlikeable for a while. I really appreciated that Margot is not physically not the typical rom-com heroine (red-headed and petite). She’s attractive and curvy and seems mostly secure about herself. If the story had been paired down just a bit, it would have been a higher rating. Overall, I still found myself getting lost in the store, which is the most I hope for while reading.
Thank you to NetGalley and Quercus for providing me access to this eARC for my honest opinion!

Whilst I loved Sara’s Diary of a Crush series when younger I keep trying her adult books hoping for the same magic, but they don’t seem to quite hit the same mark. An enjoyable read for dog lovers, but wasn’t quite sure the chemistry was believable between the two leads. 3.5 stars

Surprised to hear myself say this, but: there was too much of the dog in this book?

“She’s going to be a lovely dog, but right now she’s taking the piss out of the pair of you.”

This book took me a while to get through. I honestly had to make myself pick it up to complete it.

I wasn’t invested in the characters. I didn’t feel their love. The ending was underwhelming.

Blossom and Will’s family were the most interesting part of this book.

“Love can be such a destructive thing.”
“And love can also be the most wonderful thing in the world.”
