An incredibly cute, heartfelt fun romp of a book. Silly revenge plots and real social justice work. Student rebellions and drag shows! I read it in one day and loved it all.

Ezra feels like an NPC in his own life, especially compared to his friends Finlay and Lucas. After they each through terrible breakups, they decide to get revenge, but their simple plan grows to epic proportions. The writing in this did a great job of puttong me in the mind of a teenager. The loneliness of secrets and constant comparisons (and ubiquity of jerks) took me back for real. I love that there are so many intelligent and supportive adults, and not just evil ones. It seems like half this small town Alabama high school is Q+, there's some body diversity rep as well as challenging "the right way" to be queer narrative. I honestly didn't want this the end. If a queer YA take on the First Wives Club sounds good to you, you'll love this as much as I did.

Loved this! Such a fun read while also being very grounded in what is happening across the country in schools. Had the pleasure of meeting the author last month and I highly recommend reading this debut novel!
