Initially drawn to the book due to the interesting premise but felt little connection with the main charcters and started to become disengaged with the war storyline.
The flashback scenes to Jasper and Toby’s childhood also felt repetitive and tiresome. Enjoyed the theme of feminine empowerment throughout but the ending lacked resolution.
