This book sets a horrible example for children.
We should be teaching them why they shouldn't stick their fingers in their mouths (bad for their thumbs, teeth, and unsanitary to boot). This book went on and on about how great the girl's thumb was, and I hated that it justified the behavior. I know kids suck on their thumbs, but we shouldn't encourage them to do it.
