I really like Shakespeare and his plays because he can manage to write both tragic and comedy at the same time but the one particiular thing that I have abhorred with Hamlet is that Ophelia is insignificant. But the women of the period is well portrayed in Hamlet, however, in literary criticism, she is neglected many times. On the other hand, I think Hamlet demonstrated Ophelia really good because when one looks at the period, it can be seen that women were mostly an object or in the power places like Gertrude but it was seen as Queen was still at home so the idea of women is basically they should stay at their home and do their job. So my review would be I really loved Hamlet and enjoy analysing it; Giving consideration to Ophelia would be a great way to explore women's role in that particular period(Renaissance).
