Shakespeare's plays are truly a work of art. Although some argue that many roles within the play are unfinished or forgotten, I believe this is made up for by the creative use of language to describe scenes and form imagery. For example, Ophelia's character, and especially her death by drowning, is heavily integrated with the imagery of fresh flowers, reflecting her own fragile beauty.

Although, I will admit, some of the language was difficult to follow, and I have spark notes to thank for helping me understand

Not a SINGLE good character in this entire book (edit: besides Ophelia, love her). One of them is only pretending to be crazy (or so he says), but personally, I think they're all crazy. Also, why does Hamlet look like Voldemort? Pretty cool tropes that I've seen in many modern movies (+1 star!).

also this book is literally the secret history but worse. hamlet is richard papen, but somehow even worse, if possible. he's even more misogynistic, more crazy, more unreliable. makes me think that bunny is gonna come back and haunt everyone like hamlet's crazy dead ghost dad. also why is everyone so obsessed with shakespeare's writing? the plot and the writing is more mediocre than the state of nebraska. this is me petitioning to make the secret history the new hamlet.

read for school.

Divertida tragedia.
