I did not enjoy this book. It came off to me as very pedantic. The information in this book is presented in such a way that it almost feels like the author wanted to make it as indigestible as possible. The combination of peer reviewed scientific writing and poetry that the author seemed to have been going for did not work well at all and read as very disjointed, making the book even more difficult to take in.

I just happened to pick up killing rage by bell hooks at the same time I was reading this but I think those two books are perfect to read at the same time. 
This work by Fanon is uncomfortable in an eye opening way. It gives a look into the experiences, thoughts, and stereotypes that Black men experience, but this work has very little to say about Black women. 
Killing rage by bell hooks, however, looks at the imbalance in public discourse about race, and how Black women's voices are often suppressed or left unheard. 
Still an important piece to read, but keep in mind the prejudices that Fanon holds.
