Such an amazing book. I could not put it down as I wanted to know more about what happened with Dante and what was going to happen with him and Erin. I can’t wait to read the next one and see how the story progresses.

I have always been obsessed with paranormal tales, especially those revolving around handsome and blood-thirsty vampires. The Blood Bond Saga is a breath of fresh air as Helen Hardt manages to bring a refreshingly original concept into a generally played out genre. Dante makes for an achingly relatable vampire as he struggles to follow the rules and expectations of a society he only has a juvenile understanding of due to extremely unfortunate circumstances. However, the connection between he and Erin transcends societal rules and watching their tango of confusion and tension play out is exasperatingly beautiful.

The sentence structure in this was god awful and it made focusing on the story really difficult.

It was ok. A strange awkward read, which might just be because of all the typos the edition I had contained. The plot structure felt stunted but I kept an open mind and continued reading. The story idea is compelling. However the story abruptly cuts off. This is not a book series, but rather one story broken into multiple parts. Honestly, aside for monetary $$ reasons, there's absolutely no rhyme or reason obvious in the storytelling to warrant the story being released in multiple Parts instead of just one book.

Considering the edition I have contained lots of typos, I'm chalking up the awkward reading to that. I'm continuing the story, as the mystery of Dante's captivity and his meeting Erin and the possibilities there are compelling.

Nope. Unimaginative writing. I hate to write reviews like this, but blah.

Unexplainable urged and uncanny need. Blood Bond Saga is a thriving, trembling need. Need for more. Need for everything.

It's a tease into a glimpse of Erin's and Dante's plight.

Don’t read this unless you want to buy all the other books in the saga

ARC provided via Waterhouse Press for an honest review.

We start off with a character named Dante who we find out is being held prisoner. He gets free and ends up the hospital trying to drink the blood bags. There is where we meet Erin, who is an ER nurse. There is a connection between these two and neither one of them can understand why.

We follow the journey of Dante trying to adjust to life 10 years after being taken and how to not end back up with the one who took him. I felt so sorry Dante, he has these terrible memories of being taken and tortured. He is having the worst case of PTSD but he’s not opening up to his family. Along with that, he as this strong connection with a woman that he can't understand.

Erin is having a hard time with that connection as well. She finds herself with a need to help him even though she doesn’t know him.

This is told in parts so it was a very quick read and it ends on a cliffhanger. So while I wasn’t completely in love with it, I did enjoy it and I’m excited to read part two when it releases!
