I picked up this book because I read "The Last Time I Lied" and I loved it. It is definitely one of my favorite books of all time. This one was good as well, but I definitely liked the other one better. It's still a great read and I still recommend reading it.

This book kept appearing on recommended lists, and since I do love a good horror film, I finally picked it up.

It started out well enough (as a food blogger, I could relate to Quincy's baking blog scenarios), and I really liked the premise, but then, nothing happened. The first 1/2 of the book was just way too slow for me. Sure, things happened, but the notable and important incidents were few and far between, spaced between a bunch of slow-paced filler moments and retelling of the past.

This book wasn't bad, but it wasn't really good either. The second half of the book did pick up, but by the time the action began, I was already suspicious of every single character that had ever been mentioned, so the "twist" of an ending didn't catch me by surprise. I just felt kind of let down, and it seemed like that direction had been taken just to be twisty, when in fact, it seemed kind of obvious.

I quite enjoyed it a lot more than others. It definitely wasn't as bad as some of these people make it out to be.
