My sisters and I thought this was the second-funniest book in the world when we were young (we thought the funniest was "A Semester in the Life of a Garbage Bag", by the same author). It's still pretty funny, although a little dated.

I’m legitimately sad this wasn’t longer. I could’ve spent another 100 pages at don’t care high. I also feel like it’s a tragedy that an 80’s movie adaptation wasn’t made.

Up there with the better of his work, wacky hijinks and a reluctant (or in this case, oblivious) hero.

I first read this one back in jr high (many years ago) and for me, it still holds up. It could be the nostalgia talking though. Yes, the plot is absurd, that’s kind of the point, I think. A fun read and I think younger kids would enjoy it.

Very similar to Son of Interflux (with the whole-school-follow-blindly-to-a-lie-cleverly-said, but it also stands alone as another great book by Gordon Korman.

It was good. Typical Gordon Korman. I wished he wrote more books like this instead of going into crime dramas. I kind of expected Paul to go see Mike Otis at the end, and not tell anyone, but all in all an interesting read. Not the best of Korman's work, but good.

A funny coming of age story where a teen new to New York City adjusts to his strange new high school. Full of heart and laughter with a satisfying plot pay off, this story is a classic of YA literature.
