A cute story that was a bit like a Hallmark alien romance story. It was a bit wordy and had me wanting to skip over chunks of descriptive text to get to the actual dialogue and get on with the story. Although it’s an alien romance, some aspects were a bit unrealistic like Gabriela and her daughter's very quick acceptance after discovering Mason/Broxen was an alien. Also how quickly Gabriela and Mason/Broxen fell in love with each other was slightly too quick for my preference.

This was goooooooodddd!!!
The feelings were written in a way that even though it was fast it felt real and comforting and special
The spice - though I was thinking thered be more (the slow burn was an unexpected but not unwelcome surprise) was Shpichy and well written
Ava was the SWEETEST little girl in the whole world while also being sassy and funny
Broken was such a fkn sweet heart who was also possessive and alpha dog-y and damn I’m a fan of him.
Gabriela wasn’t annoying and was such an amazing mother always doing her absolute best and putting in a brave face
My first Tiffany Robert book, but DEFINITELY not a last

Also… his TAIL?! That was HOT

STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPP!

I need more! This isn't fair *sad emoji pouty tears face*

I don't care how insta-love-kinda-red-flags-but-all-GREEN-flags-super-convenient-and-unrealistic-even-without-an-alien-set-up this is, I FCKN LOVED IT. And, I want more. Like, immediately *insert one more puppy-eyed emoji face*. This book is FLUFFY with a capital FLUFF and YYYYYYYYYYYY.

Mason/Broxen is the most delicious MC in the universe, from his thrift shop decor to his hungry-man microwave meals *chef's kiss*

Gabriela, GIRL. YES. This is what every FMC is missing. She looked him straight in his paint-it-black-meets-purple-haze eyes and said "I know." *stank face*

ANA! Stop. Just stop. I'll say it. I'm not a huge fan of kids in books because a) they're either creepy A F or b) annoying. Fight me. BUT Ana, sweet, sweet, babygirl Ana is the kid who deserves a super cool, possibly a witch aunt, a whole book for herself, and all the Switch games. *mic drop*

Not sure if I mentioned this, but...I WANT MORE!

It was a decent read, however not their best work. The romance was built off a year of interactions the reader don’t experience but it was still a slow burn. It was well written but the last couple chapters were overly descriptive and slowed down the pace. I’d recommend it but it wasn’t one of my favorites. Broxen kind of “existed” and the details of his past were summarized. The reader also don’t get a prologue or anything to get a better idea of who he is. It’s more told than shown. There was a good bit of it going around.

This story is about a bodyguard for the alien underground who hides on Earth because his last employer was killed by a rival and now the new leader wants to kill him to hide the fact that he ordered the hit. Throughout the story he finds himself protecting a mother with her child and they teach him that they can accept him for who he is despite all of the crimes that he has committed and how different they are.

It is a story of a male who is known as a bad boy trying to tap into his more homely side and find his other half. All the while the female is trying to find her place in his world and find out how to take care of her daughter by herself while dealing with racism and overall discrimination for her single mother status.

Full disclosure: I’m not the biggest fan of Christmas romances.
So this basically felt like someone took a hallmark movie about a struggling single mom and her neighbor falling in love but changed the neighbor into an sexy alien in disguise. Had a couple of perilous moments, but that’s about it.

Spice: 3/5

Triggers: peril, racism

I adored this! I love a holiday romance and mix that in with an alien romance and you have the perfect mix. Loved it!
