Royal Court Theatre. Tonally a little strange at times but some excellent moments, particularly in the 2nd act. Spoilt some what by the old woman next to me muttering criticisms of the play whilst asleep(!) Bring on Parts 4-9

Suzan-Lori Parks sill at transposing Greek tragedy into stunningly vibrant and necessary pieces of drama is second only too Eugene O’Neil. This vivid drama soars though it’s lyrical dialogue and important themes, whilst still maintaining enough humor to lend brevity to the tough subject matter.

I liked the book very much until I got to the third act. When Oddsee started telling about the war, the story lost credibility in my eyes. I am not sure why the author has a talking dog but it was at that time I became disappointed in the story. Until then I really liked this story.

A stunning triptych that reclaims history while pointing to a still distant promised land.
Part 2 is dazzling.
