This was my first Agatha Christie book and I feel like I expected... more?
I had to push myself to continue reading until I reached about half of the book. To me, it started being painfully slow, but after the
first
murder things started to pick up a faster pace.
I started to enjoy it towards the end, where the details start being revealed.
I think it can still be a good read for whoever enjoys mystery and murder stories, just know that it'll start slow! Plus, getting to remember all of the names at the beginning was really confusing.
I wouldn't say I enjoyed it 100% but some chapters did keep me entertained.
If someone asked me if I liked it I would say "meeeh" or "it was alright" meaning that I wouldn't re-read it.

Underwhelming. I don’t really care about Poirot, either as a person or as a detective. The only time he was at all interesting was his brief debate with Ferguson about art, otherwise he was just there to deliver plot points. In fact, all of the characters were fairly weak - a far cry from the far superior And Then There Were None. Appropriately enough, given the setting, this feels like a 1930s holiday read and nothing more.

Death on the Nile tetap menarik dibaca dan gue bersyukur ga nonton versi Kenneth Brannagh yg terlalu banyak improvisasi dan bedanya.

I just wish the "Pride and Prejudice but Mister Darcy is a bitch and also a communist" story line would have worked out :/

Agatha Christie books are always a great time, and Death on the Nile is no exception. It was a tad bit predictable in the sense that you could make a good guess as to who the murderer was, but it still keeps you reading until the end. Overall just a very fun read.

When Hercule Poirot finds himself on a barge down the Nile with a simmering love triangle, he cannot stop it before the situation explodes into murder.

This is my second read of this book, though my first was some time ago, so fresher on my mind was the middling film adaptation. The book proves itself superior to the film of course, and holds up well on reread as well, as the motley cast of side characters introduced themselves to me with greater depth this time round. And the solution to the case is, of course, a cracker.

The audiobook is narrated by David Suchet. Though I found the voices he chose for supporting cast rather silly at times, it makes for a fun listen, and his Poirot is wonderful.
