Mowed grass, whining cicadas, inescapable heat – The Hole vividly captures the sensory overload of summer. Stuck in a daze of sorts, our protagonist begins to lose sense of time (and reality) as she goes through the day-to-day motions of her new life.

Atmospheric and unnerving.

An interesting albeit weird read. A woman reflecting on life, choices and cycles.

It was trying for unnerving and tense, and while it was in places - it felt lacking. The strangeness could have been dialled up.
