Solomon manages to build a pretty interesting world in a very short space. Impressive. I want to know more about these future fungi and Juju’s trip outside the enclave. Hopefully they expand this piece someday.

3.75/5 stars. Wonderful prose, impressive worldbuilding for such a short story and a heartwarming romance. I do wish the message were a bit more subtle and, again, that this amazing premise be expanded into a bigger, and better, project.

Messaging too overt but probably still needful. Interesting world-building bones that remind me of Carrie Vaughn post-apocalypse.
