And because we love everything literal 5 stars !!!
This story was amazing i thought before i even read it that it will be just some cheap way to link fables with jack of fables.
But it was not it was a great story that i enjoyed so very much.
The whole idea is bloody crazy and the whole idea sparked from the conversation between the animal and frau totenkinder.
I am just glad i got to read such a crazy idea, with such a great ending.
The only bad thing about this is that we lost the literals once and for all sadly.

One star for some very creative ideas (I loved the Genres), but overall not worth reading. The style of writing as well as art style are jarringly different, and for those (like me) who don't like Jack and haven't bothered with his spinoff, this is not a great read. The story is luckily nicely wrapped up as if never been, and the next volume continues with the usual Fables excellence and would get 5 stars from me. So you can skip this one without hesitation.

What a fun crossover volume! Jack (of Jack and the Beanstack fame) has been exiled from the fables for a long, long time for his tricks and nonsense. But when he calls up Bigby and tells them about a new threat to Fables, the literals and who can rewrite the universe or destroy it, Bigby decides it's time to step in. Together they step in with a bunch of good literals: Revision, the Page sisters (badass librarian sisters), and others to try and save their lives and their universe. It's an ambitious and wonderful crossover. Rose Red is still a hot mess, Jack is up to his Shenanigans, and Bigby's temper is getting the better of him, and I loved every second of it!
