I did enjoy this novella, but I found Winifred to be quite unlikable. She is quick to anger and frankly quite mean. She has a very holier-than-thou attitude when it comes to Trent and I truly felt like he deserved better. Her antagonizing behave was supposed to be snarky and feisty, but I just found her rude. Anytime he spoke to her or approach her she was instantly incensed and full of judgements and rude comments. Then she does a 180. I wish she had been more likable because then I would have enjoyed this novella so much more.

I did like Winifred's determination to make her future what she wanted it to be, even if what she wanted wasn't exactly the most logical choice.

Many thanks to Bree Wolf for sharing this novella with me, this is my honest review.

Really short novella. Best friend loves his friend's little sister. Overall I liked most of it expect for 2 things. 1-How likely would a newly inherited Earl able to leave his responsibilities for 5 years?! That's just asking for trouble with estate managers to steal or slack off. 2-A few times Trent was too forceful/possessive which I didnt like. I didnt want this book to turn into a dominant type of book. This is a clean book though so have no fear.

I would like to thank the author for a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Lady Winifred decided that she needs to get married and enlists her brother to help find her a sensible match. What she hasn't counted on is that her childhood friend, whom she's been in love with for a long time, has now decided to own up to his own feelings and try to win her heart. The only problem is he is not a sensible choice, will Winifred follow her heart of will she make the sensible choice?

The characters balance reach other out well and I can't wait to read Winifreds brothers story.
