Where the Landscape Listens is a collection of poetry in three parts.

The first part, entitled "Where the Landscape Listens" has nine poems. Each poem connects a feeling or emotion to something in nature. The poems range from long to short, but each evoke a moment in time. These poems are like paintings in words, only they bring out emotions in the reader in unexpected and dazzling ways.

The second part, entitled "Courtice Road" is a series of fifteen poems which reflect one another and the journey taken. It doesn't matter if you have been to Courtice Road, or if you even know where it is, these poems evoke the sense of arriving and departing a much loved place.

The third part, entitled "Small Songs" is a collection of thirty-five haiku. Most are snapshots of a moment in nature. Each short verse capturing the wonder of the world around us. A few reference the connection between two souls, and those verses capture the quiet moments that should be treasured.

This debut is a marvellous collection of moments and emotions, each poem a painting in words, creating another realm where the poet's eyes meet the readers heart.

These poems were written over a ten year period of intermittent creativity, clarity, and ambition. Throughout it all, the consistency of support from everyone who read early editions of these works, who showed understanding when I would suddenly go silent and thoughtful mid-conversation, composing, or who accompanied me on various romps through fields of flowers or wooded escarpment, my deepest thanks.

This thanks is extended to all who have checked out this little collection of moments. I have always hoped my words would find their readers.
