I smiled the whole way through reading A Wealth of Pigeons. I can see myself flipping through this book again and again, any time I need a quick pick-me-up.

Steve Martin and Harry Bliss were the combination nobody asked for, and some likely protested against (Martin Short comes to mind). The subtle humor that the comic medium provides, allows for Steve Martin's classic sarcasm and wit to shine through. This will make for a great gift for the comedy fan on your list.

It was okay. Like the author warned, I didn't understand the humor behind some of the cartoons. But the drawings were always fantastic.

If you ever wished Steve Martin wrote cartoons for the New Yorker so you could give this book as a hosting present to people you like but don't know very well but you know they're smart and they seem like they'd like it and you like that it'll make you feel like a sophisticated nerd, congratulations. This is it. Very charming, exactly what you'd expect.

This was different from what I was expecting. But all-in-all, there were a good number of cartoons in here that made me smile. I would say it’s charming.

I read Number One Walking first, and preferred it, but they do make a very good team

Definitely some misses in here humor wise but they also hit the mark often enough to make it worth it. Bliss's art is just incredible the whole way through and Martin has some full belly laughs in there as well.
