I enjoyed getting to know a little more about Janette and Saint.
This book was ok. I didn’t really get into the story, as it was pretty short a bit too rushed and I think it's typical for a novella. There were some steamy and sexy scenes but I just wasn’t feeling it for these two characters.
The book didn’t flow very smoothly; it was too choppy and it didn’t grab my attention.

OK, this was sort of a retelling of some of the happenings from Volume I to III, only from Jeanette's and Saint's perspective. Not bad but not good either. I kept hearing the "voices" of the other two MCs and except for the revenge thing it was stuff the reader already knew about so no bonus there either.

I thought Jeannette's story would be more complicated than it actually was. Go figure. I wonder what history she was talking about that prepared her to act knowledgeable with guns and cover stories? Ah well. This was okay for me. There's a lot of sex (as per usual), a murder, a wedding, a birth, a lot of sex, and then some generational stuff thrown in to prepare us for the next book. Did I mention hot sex?! Lmao!!

This group of friends never get old. I am in love. Alexa and Riley know how to rock this world and spice up this series more and more.

“I don’t know how he did it. He bulldozed into my life while still letting me feel like I always had control. How he does this I have no idea.”

Saint and Jeanette were a little bit differentt. Jeanette somehow took more control and this is not my favourite. I preferred Saint to show more of himself as the man between the sheets. I enjoyed Carter and Layla more.

Jeanette had so much issues. However, Saint knew the way to her heart and she finally fell in.
