My forever favorite of Wilde's works. It is an 1800s book, though, so there is always the caveat of there being no characters of color and some misogyny towards women (though definitely not as bad as most others).

A treasure. I read it long ago and am honestly reading it again over and over this season to audition. Such witty dialogue! And honestly, very re-readable.

I loved this so much! Such a great read for a beautiful sunny day. The plot is engaging, the dialogue is immaculate, and it is extremely witty. However, the female characters are developed but have no agency and are their actions are only in reaction to what the men do, they have very little initiative.
