I absolutely love this book. Definitely would recommend it. In my opinion it has the perfect amount of so spice not too much and not too little just the perfect amount in my opinion. I love how it’s not all spicy and there’s a story and not just a lot of spice

I loved this book. I always go in with an open mind and this book is no different. In the beginning, it was a little slow and I was skeptical it was going to be good. However, all skepticism has flown out the window. I really enjoyed these characters. The characters are complex and lovable, with great growth, and their dynamic is just fantastic.

Wren is initially a dick, but once he meets and gets to know Elodie and realizes he has fallen for her, it’s end game for him.

"In case you haven't realized it yet, you are endgame
for me, Elodie Stillwater. And everyone else in the
entire world can go and eat a dick."

The change isn’t sudden, or cringey, it's realistic and it's a huge part of his development throughout the story. Not going to lie he becomes a total simp for her, which isn’t hard because she is a total badass. Elodie has a tragic past and what I love about her is she doesn’t let that define who she is. She is so strong and won’t let Wren nor anyone treat her like a doormat.

The dark, tragic, and heartbreaking moments are well balanced with lighter moments. It's a strong beginning for the Crooked Sinners series, I'm really excited to read about Dash+Carrie and Pax+Pres’s love stories and adventures

TW ~ graphic mentions, obsessive tendencies, parental abuse.

Elodie is sent to a boarding school and is fine with that as long as she gets away from her abusive father. Wren is obsessed with Elodie the second he sees her picture on his headmasters desk, which he decides to steal. At first all he wants to do it break and ruin her but as he gets to know her goes on his plans change.

Liked how even though Elodie was deemed defenseless because she is petite she had amazing observation skills and self defense training! Wren was just completely obsessed with Elodie and honestly I love that
