I thought this was a really solid first book in a series.

The love story was slowly developed and nothing felt rushed. I really enjoyed the aspect of Violet having to decide between her human life and that which she is now a part of in the woods.

I think my favourite thing about this novel, and this author is her ability to include real-life issues into her stories. Wolves and other animals are being hunted and killed for no reason. The write up at the end in regards to how you can help make a difference was really inspiring.

This novel is extremely action packed, and pack an emotional punch as well! I would definitely love to continue on with this series to find out what happens next.

It's a fierce story in an even more fierce forest!
Werewolves would have to be the less I've read about in the supernatural world, but they are always my favorites. I had fun with this read, its fast, yet powerful. For me, my favorite part was the culter of the werewolves. I found that when reading about their lives and traditions I enjoyed myself more. Everything tied up in this book yet also left with a cliffhanger. The ending of the book was a blast! The romance is well balanced and not rushed. The writing was wonderful, I also liked how the name Poet Tongue came to play a part into the story, it is always great to see how the title is connected to the story. There are triggers for self-harming in this book.

Overall this was a fun read and I look forward to reading more by this author.
