We hit the ground running with this volume.
Stakes were raised. We get a lot more info about soul society and shinigami's in this volume without it feeling like an info dump. Worked seamlessly into the story.
As always, the story is emotional but there is just enough humor worked in to balance it all out. Also less juvenile feel to the manga now, which I am glad for.
Bring on volume 4.

Rukia, realises her gigai is getting slower. She has to leave Ichigo because she doesn't want to get him involved. Soul society sends two soul reapers to retrieve her - she is labled a traitor. Enters my favourite character - Byakuya (Rukia's brother) Ichigo's life will change forever.
